Nepal - Sagamartha Trek

The mountain view from Gorak Shep where we stayed to visit EBC and the view from Kala Pattar (which you can see the trail to on the left).
The big mountain rising into the clouds on the left is 7165m Pumori.

Snowshoe hike at Mt. Rainier

I had a really cool day yesterday with my wife (pictured). We went on an 8 mile round trip snowshoe hike up the West Side road, through the Longmire entrance of Mt. Rainier.
We went up to Dry Creek, which is where you normally park if you're hiking out of the WSR trailhead. We shared a freeze fried meal and a cup of tea, then headed back.
The park is closed due to damage from ferocious wind and rain storms. On Sundays, they let people hike in at 10am. It's better than nothing!
The news reported last week that the park likely won't be open until April, and that a complete circuit of the Wonderland Trail probably won't be possible.

James Peak Hike - Roosevelt National Forest, Colorado

1993 hike to the top of 13,294-foot James Peak with international students from the Economics Institute.

In August 2002, the James Peak Wilderness Area was officially dedicated. The Congress designated the 14,000-acre area, which straddles the Continental Divide in Boulder, Clear Creek, and Gilpin Counties. The legislation also added 3,000 acres to the nearby Indian Peaks Wilderness Area and created a 16,000-acre James Peak "Protection Area" encompassing the 7,000 acres of the James Peak Roadless Area in Grand County and other adjacent National Forest land. The legislation prohibits mining, timber cutting, new road building and land exchanges in the James Peak Protection Area.

India - Tada

Trekking to Tada Falls, shortly after the lunch spot and Shiva temple, the trail disappears as the canyon narrows and you continue over rocks and often wading directly up the river. Good shoes are a must.
The area, particularly in rainy season like it was here, is lush and cool, a world apart from bustling Chennai or agricultural rural Tamil Nadu.

I walk on the moon (Porto Santo, Madeira)

A pretty walk in the lunar surface. In fact, it is in the island of Porto Santo, in Madeira.
