Snowshoe hike at Mt. Rainier

I had a really cool day yesterday with my wife (pictured). We went on an 8 mile round trip snowshoe hike up the West Side road, through the Longmire entrance of Mt. Rainier.
We went up to Dry Creek, which is where you normally park if you're hiking out of the WSR trailhead. We shared a freeze fried meal and a cup of tea, then headed back.
The park is closed due to damage from ferocious wind and rain storms. On Sundays, they let people hike in at 10am. It's better than nothing!
The news reported last week that the park likely won't be open until April, and that a complete circuit of the Wonderland Trail probably won't be possible.
